What I've Learned So Far

  1. Since I have begun my senior project I have learned many things, but there are three main things that I found the most important.
    • I learned that judges aren't as nit-picky as I thought they were. As a rider you are very hard on yourself, and sometimes the judges give you a break.
    • I learned that the judge likes to see a rider's confidence and when that comes off as a vibe, they like the rider better.
    • I also learned that it is very important to stand out. This is something that I am working on and I am realizing as I do this project, just how important it is.
  2. This picture is the results from the show that I just competed in this past weekend. I was working on my body position as my horse jumps a lot this week, and I learned that when I was confident on my horse, he could tell and it made him jump better. As you can see, the judge also noticed that I was prepared for the class and was confident in my abilities.
